An atmospheric 3 star hotel with traditional flair and the latest modern room facilities. The Corte Fiora Hotel is rather special: in line with its Italian hotel category "albergo diffuso", it is divided into a main building and a number of other historic buildings of varying sizes, each no more than 200m away and in all cases located in the historic town centre. Each of the different buildings bears its own name and contains both hotel rooms as well as completely fitted 2-room apartments suitable for four people. While the rooms are generally allocated in accordance with their function as single, double and 3-bed rooms as well as junior suites and suites, the holiday apartments can also be booked specifically according to availability.
Main building "Le Palme":
The narrow, four-storey main building is called "Le Palme" and is situated directly opposite the River Temo in the old town of Bosa.
On arrival you pass through a semi-circular doorway into a small but charming entrance hall, where you will be welcomed at the reception. Thick stone walls, sloping door beams made of Sardinian granite, and attractive wooden surroundings give a pleasant feeling of safety right from the start.
On account of its narrow construction, typical of such historic buildings, both the ground floor and the upper floors are arranged lengthways, so that in most cases not more than two rooms can be next to each other. To the right of the reception area you will find a small but homely television room with comfortable wicker chairs. From here, following the corridor past the lift, you come directly to the bar and to the breakfast room opposite with its original stone walls. |

The old vault, also made of stone following the traditional architectural style of the room, appears to be the natural extension of the walls. Adjoining this area is an open courtyard, where breakfast can be served on warmer days. On the other side of this courtyard is a second, rather bigger lounge, ideal for a game of cards or simply for relaxing and chatting with family and friends.
Opposite the lift is the stairwell, which in turn picks up the traditional, rustic style of the other areas and therefore serves a decorative as well as a purely functional purpose.
There are only two hotel rooms on the first floor, while the second and third floors, in addition to the usual double and 3-bed rooms, also offer junior suites, suites and holiday apartments. All accommodation is equipped with Internet access, telephone, TV, air conditioning and bathroom with shower, WC, washbasin and bidet. All bathrooms are interior. Rooms are furnished with solid wood in soft brown and beige. Sardinian carpets, natural-coloured curtains, wrought-iron curtain rails as well as knotted bedspreads add a finishing touch to the rustic but elegant style and make for a pleasantly cosy atmosphere. One small touch reveals just how much thought the owners have put into maintaining the traditional surroundings: the electric cables below the ceilings were deliberately left exposed, as was usual at the beginning of the 20th century, and old-fashioned ceiling lights installed with the bulb peeking out from the shade. This creates a balanced and impressive mixture of old and new features. Itīs the magnificent view over the old town and the river, however, that really completes the whole picture.
Other hotel buildings "I Gerani" und "Le Conce":
The historic buildings "I Gerani" and "Le Conce" were constructed following the style of the main building, so that all the rooms, here too, are of the same standard and are equipped in the same way. Even if the guests do have to walk a short way to breakfast in the morning, the rooms and the holiday apartments are every bit as charming. They are reached by a short walk through the winding alleyways of the old town, reinforcing the impression that you are staying in a traditional old village house.
